The Art of Creation
From Yarn to Masterpiece
Our Manufacturing Process
Creating a WEAVERUGS carpet is not just manufacturing; it is an art form passed down through generations. Every knot tells a story, and every thread is woven with passion. Here is how we bring luxury to life in Bhadohi.
Raw Materials
The Foundation of Luxury
The journey begins with the selection of the finest raw materials. We source premium quality New Zealand wool, pure silk, and viscose. Our experts manually inspect the fibers to ensure softness, strength, and durability before the process begins.
Dyeing
Adding Life to Yarn
Our master dyers use eco-friendly chrome dyes and traditional vegetable dyes to achieve vivid, long-lasting colors. The yarn is boiled in copper pots to ensure the color penetrates deep into the fiber, resulting in hues that remain vibrant for decades.
Weaving
The Magic of Knots
This is where art meets patience. Our skilled artisans in Bhadohi tie thousands of knots per day following intricate maps (Naksha). Depending on the complexity and size, a single carpet can take months to weave, ensuring every detail is perfect.
Washing
Enhancing the Sheen
Once woven, the carpet undergoes a rigorous washing process. Using fresh water and wooden paddles, excess dye and dust are removed. This vital step brings out the natural luster (sheen) of the wool and silk, making the carpet soft to the touch.
Finishing
Clipping & Shaving
To achieve a smooth and even surface, the carpet is sheared and clipped. Skilled craftsmen carefully carve around patterns (embossing) to give the design a 3D effect. The edges are bound, and fringes are secured.
Final Touch
Quality Control
The last step is a meticulous quality inspection. Every inch is checked for perfection. Once approved, the carpet is vacuumed, rolled, and packed, ready to adorn the floors of luxury homes and hotels worldwide.
